UPS and Gaussin: autonomous driving

The delivery service provider UPS cooperates with the French company Gaussin for the use of autonomous vehicles.

The world famous company UPS is very interested in autonomous driving. So you have shares in the startup TuSimple bought, with whom one has also been working for some time, to freight through autonomous Trucks over the highway too promote. Also with Waymo is working UPS together.

On the hub of the delivery company in London is now testing the use of electric vehicles from the manufacturer Gaussin. These have automation and are intended to transport the trailers of the trucks. The cooperation should not only increase efficiency, but also reduce fuel costs and emissions. Gaussin vehicles are powered by an electric motor and feature new battery replacement technology that allows them to be used around the clock. The two companies have been working together since 2018 to provide the vehicles.
