As is the case every year, the NFDA, the leading syndicate of car dealerships across the Channel, has conducted a survey of its affiliates, which highlights the deterioration in the relationship between distributors and licensors.
Throughout 2017, relations between distributors and manufacturers across the Channel have deteriorated, according to a survey conducted by NFDA, the leading trade union of British dealers.
Overall, the results of the survey in question show that the satisfaction index lost 0.3 points last year for an overall average of 5.3 on a scale ranging from 1 to 10.
In particular, the operators of the FCA Group’s networks made the most severe judgments against their licensors. Conversely, the distributors of Kia, Mercedes and Toyota brands are the ones who rated their manufacturers the best with overall scores of 8.9.
The union, chaired by Sue Robinson, surveyed 29 networks and obtained 1,893 responses, equivalent to a response rate of 47%, the highest since 1989.
