The much-discussed Mercedes-Benz MBUX infotainment system has been updated.
The new MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) will be available in the new S-Class. Access is now via up to three touch screens and there is a voice control that starts with “Hey Mercedes”.
The second generation of the MBUX also comes with the mega-display effect S class. These displays have OLED technology, which increases the quality. The system can be set according to your own preferences and also allows the person in the driving seat to have a 3D view, without 3D glasses.
The system is not only used for navigation or communication, but also helps with the functions of the car or explains where the first-aid kit is, for example. Security is achieved using a PIN in combination with fingerprint, face and voice recognition. If the person is recognized, their settings are also loaded. Seven people can save their preferences in this way.
The MBUX also warns of dangerous situations, such as an obstacle in the blind spot, and detects when people approach the vehicle. The fatigue warning device is also connected to the system. The navigation is carried out by AR and looks as if the driving arrows lie on the asphalt. The system reacts to gestures and glances because the number of switches has been reduced overall.
A connection to the Mercedes me app is made by scanning the QR code and there is a connection to the home so that you can make certain settings. You can also do that Smart home network with the car.
