Kia presents awards to dealers for strong sales results post-lockdown

Kia Motors (UK) Limited has awarded 34 dealers across its 187-strong network for their outstanding performance since reopening.

The ‘President’s Acceleration Award’ was presented to those Kia dealers who went above and beyond to rapidly rebuild their businesses and help Kia achieve record sales results in the last three months.

The award has been presented to 34 dealers in total, with many achieving 150% of their sales target in Q3.

Kia’s President and CEO, Paul Philpott said:“It’s been a challenging year for everyone and the whole of our dealer network has worked tirelessly to gain back momentum and sales since re-opening in June. We appreciate that each of our dealers have faced unprecedented challenges and the ‘Presidents Acceleration Awards’ highlights those that have really excelled and pulled through as a team.”

“Kia’s strong relationship with our network has enabled us to get off to a fast start since lockdown was lifted, and to top it off the network has recently voted Kia, ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ in the Car Dealer Power Awards – for the fifth time – which is testament to that long-standing relationship”.

Kia’s record Q3 saw its dealer network delivering a total of 28,185 vehicles to customers around the UK. This represents an all-time high Q3 market share of 4.8%, 0.2% above last year.

Across the quarter Kia achieved an encouraging 32% eco vehicle sales mix – hitting its 2020 three in ten eco target.

16% going to self-charging hybrids, 12 per cent to all-electric vehicles and the other four per cent to plug-in hybrid vehicles offered by the brand.
