120 kWh battery pack: Bollinger electric SUV should be able to continue driving

larger batteries mean more weight, but also more reach. For the electric SUV Bollinger B1, an option with 120 kWh is now being developed. The advance reservations for the chunky electric car go into the hundreds of thousands. What it will cost remains unclear.

The startup Bollinger continues working on his all-electric off-road vehicle B1 and has filmed a prototype on the test bench to prove the performance of the vehicle. In addition, it was announced that there will be a wider range battery.

In the Presentation of the B1 last year was informed that there would be two options with 60 and 100 kWh for 190 and 320 km range. Now, a battery with 120 kWh has been announced, which should continue.

The Bollinger Motors B1 has a full aluminum chassis and will be equipped with four-wheel drive. Visually, the vehicle is oriented with its folded sheets on the Land Rover Defender. The Bollinger B1 is to achieve a system output of 360 hp and a torque of 640 Newton meters. The car should come despite its anachronistic appearance within 4.5 seconds to 100 km / h. Interesting is its off-road capability: The vehicle reaches a ground clearance of 39 cm, in addition there are adjustable suspension travel of 25 to 50 cm to vary the ground clearance. The vehicle is expected to provide 2.7 tonnes of trailer and 2.7 tonnes of payload.

Within two weeks, 2017 saw nearly half a million non-binding reservations for the car. A price is not fixed yet.
