Europa Press: Opel offers its factories in Germany as vaccination centers against coronavirus000993

MADRID, 25 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The automotive firm Opel has offered its facilities to set up vaccination centers against the coronavirus in Germany, according to the CEO of the brand, Michael Lohscheller.
“With large industrial buildings and parking areas, as well as good connections to the public transport network, our factories excellently meet the logistical requirements to provide targeted support and facilitate the vaccination process as soon as a vaccine is available. “said Lohscheller.
In Germany, in addition to its headquarters in Rüsselsheim, near Frankfurt, the automaker, which belongs to the French group PSA Group, also has plants in Kaiserslautern and Eisenach.
In this sense, the dimensions of its factory in Rüsselsheim are greater than Opel’s needs, which is why it has already sold part of these facilities, according to DPA.
Lohscheller described the fight against COVID-19 as a task that falls to the whole of society and in which everyone must help. “We want to make our contribution. Because people’s health is our top priority,” he said.
