Renault Retail Group has sold its flagship premises at Concord Road on the Western Avenue for £39m.
The group has entered a short-term, two-year lease back on the property to allow time for relocation.
In results filed at Companies House it said turnover in 2019 was £501.8m compared to £545.5m the previous year with reduced losses of -£2.4m compared to -£3.5m last time.
The factory-owned group accounts for one in five of all Renault and Dacia vehicles in the UK.
Its used car volumes fell by 12.5% in the year as it continued to move away from its previous reliance on nearly new vehicles while increasing its focus on cars three to five years old.
It said the change in strategy saw a nearly new and tactical ex-management volumes fall by 39% while sales of used cars over 18 months old rose by 11%. As a result, used car department profitability rose by £2.7m to £5.7m.
In the first quarter of 2020 the group developed its medium-term strategy to return it to 1% return on sales by 2023
