Deutsche Post is alliance for the sale of its electric van with the BMW leasing subsidiary Alphabet.
The German postal service teams up with the sale of their electric van Streetscooter BMWLeasing daughter alphabet. Both companies responded to the growing demand for electric transporters with their cooperation, said the Post on Thursday. The corporations wanted to promote the dissemination of climate-friendly delivery vehicles to corporate customers.
“Our common goal is to help electromobility break through in a wide variety of industries,” emphasized Streetscooter boss Achim Kampker. Alphabet offers not only finance leasing of vehicles but also other services such as a workshop service.

Swiss Post has become a major manufacturer of electric vehicles with its street scooter. In the medium term, the Group wants to change its entire mail and parcel delivery fleet from almost 50,000 vehicles to electric cars. Street scooters are also sold to customers outside the Group – for example to bakeries, craftsmen or municipalities.
