Do you remember the first generation of DS 4? This model had a very original design, good technological equipment and interesting mechanics under the hood, although the similarities with the Citroën C4 contemporary were too obvious in the interior. All this changes in the DS 4 2021, an impressive compact that rivals without complexes against the Audi A3, BMW 1 Series, Honda Civic, Lexus CT, Mazda 3, Mercedes-Benz A-Class or the Volkswagen golf.
As it is such a special model, at Autofácil we want you to enjoy some unpublished images of the new DS 4 2021. As you can see, the French hatchback sports a truly imposing design, with the brand’s characteristic grille, advanced LED headlights and a signature luminous that extends to the lower area.
In profile, the DS 4 2021 has very interesting details, such as the two-tone roof and the contrasting mirrors or the retractable door handles – which are already present in the DS 3 Crossback and the majestic DS 9-. In addition, the C-pillar is highly worked with some of the most original folds; it also does not forget to offer a shark fin antenna and various multi-spoke alloy wheels.
An advantage over your direct competitors? The new DS 4 has an SUV-type body – called Cross – with roof bars, plastic guards and chrome trim to emphasize its offroad character. We see this type of finish in the Fiat Tipo Cross or the Ford Focus Active, but in no case is it in the premium compact five-door segment.

Finally, in the rear of the DS 4 2021 we see some very elegant pilots united through a chrome strip. The size of the rear window offers a certain sporty air -almost coupe- and the divided tailpipes add the icing to the whole.
In mechanical terms, the new DS 4 will put at our disposal the PureTech -1.2 petrol engines with 130 hp and 1.6 with 180 and 225 hp-, as well as the 1.5 BlueHDi diesel with 130 hp. In addition, it includes a plug-in hybrid variant – called E-TENSE – with 225 hp and the DGT label 0. Thanks to the EMP2V3 platform, this model can include a first-rate technological level: matrix headlights, Head Up Display, semi-autonomous driving system, predictive suspension and even night vision.
