Within the automotive sector it is very common today for users to have doubts when purchasing an electric vehicle through a traditional purchase. Therefore, from What Car? have carried out a study in which they give importance to subscription car models as a way to promote the sale of this type of vehicle.

The sample for this study was 822 new car buyers of which approximately 3% indicated that they would obtain their vehicle through a subscription model. In this sense, it is key to highlight that this form of acquisition benefits users since it gives them time to test the technology before committing to it in the long term.

What are the main advantages of a subscription car model?

As a result of this analysis, from What Car? They highlight the main advantages offered by this way of acquiring a vehicle:

Easy to use
Possibility of changing models in the short term
Less stress in terms of the obligations that a new car entails.

In addition, on the part of the concessionaires, the subscription car models They are ideal for getting the most out of stock of second-hand or zero kilometer cars. Thus, other users can make use of them until they find the final buyer.

Apart from all these advantages that we have pointed out, we must make special mention of the economic aspect. Because a subscription car model eliminates many of the expenses involved in buying a new vehicle through the traditional formula, an aspect to be highlighted considering the situation we are currently facing.

These are the main barriers to subscription models

Continuing with the What Car? study, users who were not interested in subscription services indicated the main reasons. 59.95% of those surveyed said they preferred to own their cars. 15.56% prefer to organize road insurance and coverage themselves. And, finally, 12.81% expressed concern about the value for money of the different plans that exist for the subscription service.
