The event will be held within the framework of Motortec Madrid next Friday, April 22.
Observing European countries and their markets is almost an obligation for companies in any sector. Even more so in a market as interdependent as the automobile market. For this reason, the I Industrial Vehicle Observatory de Faconauto will analyze how electrification is progressing in Europe in the industrial segment as well as the main market data.
The person in charge of carrying out this analysis will be Thomas Fabian, Commercial Vehicles Director of the ACEA. The speaker will explain the main market figures and how electric mobility is advancing in this type of transport. It will be next April 22, within the framework of Motortec Madrid, when he will provide the most important keys to those attending the day.
It will be an intervention of great interest for the attendees since the market is in a situation of great instability. Currently, in the industrial vehicle segment the situation is highly variable within Europe. Industrial vehicles of more than 3.5 tons, in the first two months of the year, have experienced an increase of 1.2% with 46,639 units. Spain accumulates a growth of 7.1%, in Italy the increase has been barely 0.7%, and in Germany and France registrations have decreased by 0.5% and 0.4% respectively.
For their part, industrial vehicles of more than 16 tons have seen their registrations increase by 4.1% so far in 2022. 40,270 units are recorded thanks to the rise of 10.3% in Spain, 4.9% in Germany, 4% in France and 0.7% in Italy.

In addition, the prospects of the sector for 2022 will be analysed. Expected registrations, risks, sales by propulsion… The person in charge of carrying out this analysis will be Fernando Agustí, director of the commercial vehicle business at Caixabank Payments & Consumer, Faconauto’s strategic partner. For her part, Dolores Cárdenas, adviser on product design in the Mobility and Energy Transition Area of Repsol, Faconauto’s strategic partner, will explain the influence of technology in the sector.
The I Industrial Vehicle Observatory will also have a prestigious panel, in a round table format, where the feelings of the manufacturing brands will be collected. As already announced in the last Faconauto Congress, the V-CAM study will also be presented for the first time to find out the satisfaction of industrial dealers with their brands. José Manuel López, commercial director of MSI, will present all the figures.
To close this first edition of the Industrial Vehicle Observatory there will be the intervention of Marta Blázquez, Executive Vice President. In addition, Jaime Moreno, General Director of Land Transport, will attend.
