Bajaj Auto sales remain flat at 347,004 units in June; exports up 13%
New Delhi:
Pune-headquartered two- and three-wheeler major Bajaj Auto today reported that its wholesales for June 2022 remained flat at 347,004 units compared to 346,136 units in the same month last year.

It reported sales of 1,38,351 units of its two-wheelers and commercial vehicles in the domestic market in June, a decline of 15% compared to 1,61,386 units in the same month last year.

Exports, however, spiked 13% to 208,653 units from 184,300 vehicles in June 2021.

Total two-wheeler volumes, including exports, in June 2022 stood at 315,948 vehicles, an increase of 2% over 310,578 units in the same month a year ago.

But, domestic two-wheeler sales fell 20% to 125,083 vehicles as against 155,640 units in June 2021, the company said in a statement.

Two-wheeler exports last month grew 23% to 190,865 units compared to 154,938 vehicles in the year-ago period.

Total commercial vehicle sales declined 13% in the month to 31,056 units compared to 35,558 vehicles in June 2021, the company said.

According to Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., “Q1FY23 is our second consecutive highest SUV sales quarter. This has been made possible due to continued robust demand for all our brands including XUV700, Thar, Bolero and XUV300. We sold 26,620 SUVs in June and overall 54,096 vehicles, registering a growth of 64%.”
