New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra today announced that it sold 54,096 vehicles in June 2022.
According to Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., “Q1FY23 is our second consecutive highest SUV sales quarter. This has been made possible due to continued robust demand for all our brands including XUV700, Thar, Bolero and XUV300. We sold 26,620 SUVs in June and overall 54,096 vehicles, registering a growth of 64%.”
XUV700 achieved yet another milestone of being awarded the coveted Global NCAP ‘Safer Choice’ Award for being the safest car in India.
The automaker also had a blockbuster launch of the Scorpio-N.

Passenger vehicles: The company’s total passenger vehicle sales stood at 26,880 units. It sold 26620 utility vehicles in June 2022 compared to 16,636 units in June 2021, recording a 60% Y-o-Y growth. However, it sold only 260 cars (sales made in subsidiary company Mahindra Electric Mobility Ltd) and vans in the same period compared to 277 units, showing a decrease of 6% Y-o-Y.
Three-wheelers: Mahindra sold 4,008 units of its three-wheelers in June 2,022 compared to 750 units in the same month the previous year, recording a 434% growth year-on-year. These also include electric 3Ws.
Commercial Vehicles: The company sold 20,431 commercial vehicles, including medium and light commercial vehicles, in June 2022, as against 12,694 units in June 2021, recording a 69% Y-o-Y growth.
Total exports of the automotive manufacturer stood at 2,777 units, as per the company’s regulatory filing.
