Elon Musk (51) and Shivon Zilis (36) have been parents of twins since November, according to a media report. Musk and Zilis filed a request in April to have their children’s names changed to “bear their father’s last name,” reported the “Business Insider” on Wednesday
and referred to court documents. A month later, a judge in Texas approved the request.
Zilis is the director of Musk’s neurotechnology start-up, Neuralink. The disclosure of the relationship could be problematic for Musk. Most US companies the size of Tesla and SpaceX prohibit love relationships across two hierarchical levels.
Zilis is also said to be one of the people Musk will take over after his $44 billion takeover Twitter could entrust, the report goes on to say. Zilis was according to her Linkedin profile
among others in various positions for Neuralink, Tesla and OpenAI. All three companies have strong ties to Musk, who founded Neuralink, co-founded OpenAI, and took over as Tesla helm in 2008.
According to the Reuters news agency, it tried to get a statement from Musk and Zilis. However, this has so far been unsuccessful. The “Business Insider” also tried in vain to comment.
The birth of the twins in November would bring Musk’s total children to nine. Musk and Canadian singer Grimes welcomed their second child via surrogate last December. Musk has five other children from his first marriage. He was married to Canadian author Justine Wilson from 2000 to 2008. The couple had twins and triplets.
It wasn’t until the end of June that one of Elon Musk’s children made headlines: According to court documents, it wanted to have its name changed – to have its identity recognized as a woman and to distance itself from the famous father. A few days ago, Musk tweeted a photo of his meeting with the Pope; it also showed four of his children.
