The Swiss financial investor Partners Group has appointed Wolf-Henning Scheider (60) as partner and head of private equity. Scheider, who announced his departure as CEO of German auto supplier ZF Friedrichshafen in March, will move to Partners Group in early 2023, the company said.
As head of the private equity business unit, he will then replace CEO David Layton, who has been in charge of the division up to now. In the future, Scheider will be responsible for the company’s investment portfolio in the canton of Zug, with more than 100 companies in 23 countries and around 250,000 employees.
Schneider’s successor at automotive supplier ZF Friedrichshafen becomes Holger Klein (52). He has been a member of the Management Board since autumn 2018 and is currently responsible for the Asia-Pacific region, among other things. Scheider was previously CEO of the Mahle Group. He began his career in 1987 at Robert Bosch and later became a member of the management board.
