Inert handling lets the Mokka X down, but the excellent 1.4 Turbo petrol and comfortable ride are strong points The Mokka X’s relaxed nature is most evident when cornering. While the electrically assisted steering is quick and precise, there’s very little feedback through the wheel to make you feel connected with the road. New Ford F-150 Raptor pick-up 2018 review
You may not have even heard of the Ford F-150, and in one sense there’s no reason why you should – it has never, and likely will never go on sale in the UK, nor even in Europe. But in the USA it has consistently topped the outright sales charts since its creation in 1948.… Continue reading New Ford F-150 Raptor pick-up 2018 review

Alpina D5 S 2018 review
If you like the D5 S, there’s little to rival what it offers. The kicker is that the legendary residual value of Alpina cars is far from certain, given the nature of the powertrain. Putting that to one side, the D5 S costs £62,000, to which you can add £1785 for adaptive dampers with electronically… Continue reading Alpina D5 S 2018 review
Formula-E 2017/2018 – Rome – The MICHELIN Pilot Sport EV2 combines high performance with longevity in the Eternal City
Continue reading Formula-E 2017/2018 – Rome – The MICHELIN Pilot Sport EV2 combines high performance with longevity in the Eternal City

Sant'Agata Bolognese, 26. January 2016 – Automobili Lamborghini just ended 2015 with exceptional results. The all-time record of 3,245 vehicles sold worldwide comes with a rapid growth in workforce, which now stands at 1,300 employees.
More than 150 assembly line workers, technicians and highly qualified specialists have been hired recently with open-ended contracts, bringing the total of permanent employees taken on over the past five years to more than 600.
Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, commented: “Lamborghini is experiencing strong, steady growth in sales and also in its workforce. We are getting ready for groundbreaking changes with the introduction of our third model in 2018, which points to stable, sustainable growth for our company. This is why our investments in human resources are more important than ever, as we continue to focus on excellence and continuous improvements in this new phase of the company's future.”
The growth trend is destined to continue this year, with equally significant numbers. Since January, 30 new production line workers have joined the company thanks to the system introduced by the new supplementary company agreement. Other new hirings during the year will include technicians working in Quality, R&D, Purchasing, Industrial and Project Management divisions, as well as technical production staff.
The recruitment drive supports the development phase of the Urus: the super sports SUV and the third Lamborghini model. Launched in 2018, the Urus will take the company into a new era. Not only will the production site double in size – from the existing 80,000 m2 to 150,000 m2 – but 500 further new staff will be taken on. 180 of these new contracts have already been finalized. Investments in human resources are an important part of the company's corporate responsibility strategy, the aim of which is to create value through a responsible approach to the world and the areas in which Lamborghini operates, helping to ensure sustainable economic and social development with a constant ecological focus to preserve the planet for current and future generations.

Sant'Agata Bolognese, – Over the course of the past fiscal year 2015 (31.12.2015) Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. achieved historic highs in the main corporate figures. Global sales of Lamborghini super sports cars increased by 28% from 2,530 to 3,245 units. This growth represents not only an increase in volumes compared to the previous year, but a considerable gain. In fact, the company exceeded its previous threshold of more than 3,000 units sold worldwide.
Turnover increased exponentially from 629 to 872 million euros. This represents an increase of 39%, due to strong sales growth generally and a substantial contribution to total sales worldwide from high-value V12 Lamborghini Aventador derivatives.
Lamborghini is earning profits and continues on a sustained growth path. All new projects are financed out of the cash-flow.
“In 2015 we achieved business growth for the fifth year in a row and historic highs with key figures. We have also made wide-reaching strategic decisions that will facilitate the company's mid and long-term success in global luxury automobile markets,” says Lamborghini President and CEO, Stephan Winkelmann.
The Huracán LP 610-4 made 2015 the most successful year in history for deliveries of V10-engined Lamborghini models. In its first full year on the market, a total of 2,242 Huracán units were delivered to customers. In the first 18 months following its market introduction, Huracán deliveries were 70% higher than those of its predecessor, the Gallardo, in the same period after market introduction.
Deliveries of coupé and roadster versions of the twelve-cylinder Aventador LP 700-4, as well as the new Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce, amounted to a total of 1,003 units. The Aventador's success story was also demonstrated by delivery numbers in the 52 months following market introduction, with an increase of 124% over sales of its Murciélago predecessor within the same time period.

Prize awarded for third year in a rowLamborghini excels in Human Resources policy managementStephan Winkelmann: “Our Human Resources are the bedrock for challenges in the immediate future.”
Sant'Agata Bolognese, 10 February 2016 – For the third year in a row, Automobili Lamborghini has obtained the prestigious Top Employer Italy 2015 certification, an honor bestowed each year by the Top Employers Institute on companies with excellent workplace environments and advanced policies in Human Resource management.
The Top Employer certification program is a process lasting about a year; after a structured investigation and verification procedure in which nine criteria are considered – including salary policies, working conditions and benefits, training and professional growth, career opportunities and corporate culture – only companies that attain the highest scores are awarded the certification.
Automobili Lamborghini President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann commented, “The Top Employer certification endorses our investment and belief in Human Resources, which is a cornerstone to facing challenges in the immediate future, such as the introduction of the third model and the doubling of the Sant'Agata Bolognese factory.”
Umberto Tossini, Human Resources and Organization Manager at Automobili Lamborghini, added, “Motivation and attractiveness are different faces of the same coin. They are the starting point of many initiatives concerning care of our people – ensuring personal wellbeing – and important collaborations with universities and schools, to make working and academic life meet.” Lamborghini currently counts 1,300 employees at its historic factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese. 2015 was an extraordinary year: as many as 150 highly-qualified technicians and specialists were employed. In the last five years, Lamborghini hired almost 600 people through open-ended contracts. The company is driven by its Ethical Responsibility: a virtuous circle of people management which aims for continuous improvement.
Umberto Tossini, Human Resources and Organization Manager at Automobili Lamborghini, added, “Motivation and attractiveness are different faces of the same coin. They are the starting point of many initiatives concerning care of our people – ensuring personal wellbeing – and important collaborations with universities and schools, to make working and academic life meet.”

Sant’Agata Bolognese, 20 October 2016 – Automobili Lamborghini is celebrating its glorious past and the 50th anniversary of the Miura with an official attendance at the 2016 Classic Car and Motorcycle Show in Padua. From 20 to 23 October a large stand will bring Lamborghini’s heritage together in a display divided into three sections: PoloStorico, the Miura and the Museum.
The body of a Miura SV (chassis number 5030) is on display at an advanced stage of restoration in the PoloStorico area. After going on show as a bare aluminum bodyshell at Technoclassica in Essen in April this year, it is now a body assembled to the suspension set-up stage, with bodywork painted in its original gold; engine and transmission systems are partially fitted. The black leather interiors are still being worked on for subsequent refitting. The Miura’s important 50th anniversary year is being celebrated with the display of a metallic green vehicle (chassis number 4846), which was shown at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show to mark the launch of the Miura SV. This car was the very first to be restored by Lamborghini PoloStorico, which lovingly brought it back to its original condition. This year, the restored vehicle won several important accolades, including the “Cartier Style et Luxe Concours d’Elegance” at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2016, and the “Trofeo BMW Group Italia”, voted for by public referendum at the Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este. The vehicle is displayed against a backdrop of photos showing some of the most significant moments of the 50th anniversary Miura Tour, when an array of brightly colored Miuras from all four corners of the globe drove along some of the most picturesque routes in Emilia, Liguria and Tuscany in June this year.
The Lamborghini Museum in Sant’Agata Bolognese is bringing two gems from its collection to Padua. The first is the 2005 Gallardo S concept, which includes unusual interior design choices such as the element dividing the driver and the passenger and the lack of windscreen, replaced by slim spoilers designed to divert the flow of air up and above the passengers’ heads.
The second is the current Huracán Super Trofeo, the race car that competes in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo one-make series, representing the extensive motorsport collection displayed at the Lamborghini Museum.
Lamborghini PoloStorico
Lamborghini PoloStorico is Lamborghini’s specialist heritage department and focused on four key areas: restoration, archive management, certification and the supply of original spare parts via Lamborghini After Sales and its dealer network. Lamborghini holds parts for more than 70% of the historic Lamborghini car park with additional components manufactured as required, assisting in the preservation of historic Lamborghini models. PoloStorico has completed four restoration projects in the last two years: a Miura, a LM002, a Countach and a 350 GT.
The Lamborghini Miura – a timeless iconThe Miura, which was introduced 50 years ago, became a unique automobile that revolutionized the sports car world in the 1960s. Designed in 1965 by a Lamborghini engineering team headed by Gian Paolo Dallara and Paolo Stanzani and with a body conceived by Marcello Gandini for Carrozzeria Bertone, it immediately became a highly coveted car.It featured a look that was sleek and sensual. It was only 105 centimeters tall and had a minimum ground clearance of only 13,5 centimeters. Firstly shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 1966, it was an immediate international hit that transformed the sports car world. Its transverse rear 4-liter 60° V12 mid-engine, joined by transaxle to form a single unit, churned out 350 HP at
7000 RPM and powered the Miura to a record maximum speed (at the time) of 280 km/h.With the Miura, which took its name from Edoardo Miura, who was a close friend of founder Ferruccio Lamborghini and a famous breeder of bulls, Lamborghini began the tradition of naming its cars after Spanish bullfighting.763 Miuras were delivered throughout the world, in three versions produced from 1966 to 1972, and in some 60 different colors.
The new Lamborghini Museum The Lamborghini Museum, opened in 2001 at the Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters, was completely renovated in June this year to create an authentic experience that takes visitors on a journey from the past to the future of Lamborghini. Visitors can explore the specially designed exhibition area focusing on the technology, engines and motorsport with art walls and info-graphics, screens and multimedia exhibitions, seeing the most breathtaking vehicles in the collection for themselves. The Lamborghini Museum, which is open to visitors from 9.30 am to 6 pm, Monday to Saturday, also gives the opportunity to see the current model assembly lines (booking required).
