Al geruime tijd vraagt Lightyear in de media maar ook in bestuurlijk en politiek Den Haag om aandacht voor het concept van de super efficiënte zonneauto.

Het integrale concept van de elektrische auto is in Lightyear One vanaf de grond opnieuw ontworpen met minimale CO2 uitstoot als doel. Het team van 100 getalenteerde ingenieurs van Lightyear is versterkt door veteranen uit de autoindustrie van over de hele wereld en meervoudig wereldkampioenen uit de diverse Nederlandse solar teams.

Samen ontwikkelen zij in Helmond de eerste ‘native’ zonneauto ter wereld, een zonneauto die geen aanpassing is van eerdere auto’s maar met recht zijn eigen soort.
