Here’s What We Can Expect From Zenvo’s Next 1800-HP Hypercar – HotCars

While most of the world lusts after the Ferrari and the Bugattis, an unobtrusive Danish automotive maker, Zenvo, has made inroads into the world of hypercars. From the company’s launch in 2004 to the first Zenvo hypercar, the ST1’s debut in 2008, this exclusive hypercar maker has come a long way since.

Today, it makes only five cars per year, all hand-built and taken to the extremes of the bespoke experience. The ST1 retired in 2016 after only 15 units and since then, Zenvo has launched more hypercars like the TS1 and the TS1 GT, as well as the TSR and the TSR-S.

Now, finally, they have a new car coming out, and it’s going to be one with a V12 engine, although the carmaker is keeping the design under wraps until the final reveal, to add an air of mystery to it. Given the exclusivity of Zenvo hypercars, it’s easy to see why the automaker is being so close-lipped about the details. That said, some of the goodies in the all-new Zenvo hypercar are well-known, so this is what the hypercar will offer, to all those who can afford it!

The Zenvo V12 Hypercar Will Be An All-New Hybrid

According to Zenvo Automotive, the bespoke hypercar maker will debut an all-new, clean-sheet V12 hypercar in 2023. To give the environment a little breather, this all-new hypercar will also be a hybrid, and not just that, also be able to rev up to 10,000 rpm. According to Zenvo Automotive’s commercial boss Jens Sverdrup, the idea of the car came from interviewing many customers, who agreed on one major thing, no one wanted a completely electric car, so this had to be a hybrid.

Everything in this car, according to Zenvo, is new, including the V12 engine which will pair with a new 8-speed automatic gearbox and a new electric drivetrain as well, all of which comes envisaged and designed in-house, by the brilliant minds at Zenvo. The new V12 engine will have twin electric turbochargers to give it the juice it needs, along with rather big preheated cats on top, alone able to make 1,200 horsepower. The power target, as per Zenvo, stands much higher at 1,500 to 1,800 horsepower, although the dream is to make a car that makes people smile as they drive, rather than overpowering them with performance.

The new Zenvo hypercar will also come wrapped in a brand-new modular carbon fiber chassis, although no pictures have leaked out just yet. Zenvo Automotive has shown some designs to prospective customers but otherwise, the looks of the car are, for now, a big, juicy secret.

The 2023 Zenvo Hypercar Has Two Versions

Zenvo revealed that it plans to launch two versions of the new car, one being a track version, and the other being more of a daily driver. The concept is likely to be similar to its earlier models, the TS1 and the TS1 GT, as well as the TSR and the TSR-S.

The new Zenvo hyper will feature a GT-style hybrid which may, allegedly, have an electric motor on the front axle for a four-wheel-drive, although the jury is still out on it. The second version of the car will be more of a track-focused variant although Zenvo promises it too will be road legal even if it features an impressive aero package given its targeting a weight of only 2755 lbs. For now, the car is still a long way from its debut, so it would be interesting to see which of these paper promises makes it to actuality.

The one thing Zenvo is happy to reveal is that they already have 30 orders in the bank for it, so clearly, output for this very niche, very exclusive automaker has doubled.

Zenvo’s Modular Chassis Has Some Secrets

Despite this being a hybrid car, the modular carbon-fiber chassis in it, could, technically, support an electric car. So the future may end up holding an electric Zenvo if the winds blow that way.

Sverdrup also revealed that this chassis could support something else in the future as well, like a V8-powered junior hypercar, although he was emphatic in saying that it will not be an SUV.

For now, the new Zenvo hypercar is generating plenty of excitement in the circles of the rich and the famous, even though Zenvo has again revealed that it will not be a 300 mph car because this one is more about the driving pleasure than just the speed of it. With a “dream V12 engine” that Zenvo believes is likely to be the last of the greats, the new hypercar is likely to be smarter and more efficient than many of the bigger automotive hypercars on the market right now, and we can’t wait to see it unveiled in all its glory.
