Cannonballer Adds Missy Elliott’s Spyker C8 To His Massive Exotic Car Collection – HotCars

Former Cannonball Run record holder Ed Bolian uses his VINwikiI YouTube channel to provide an update on his extensive car collection. It’s a mix of the exotic—like a Spyker C8 and a few Lamborghini Murciélagos—and the luxurious, such as some Porsches and Mercedes.

Bolian’s overview also highlights the realities of owning over-the-top vehicles, as maintenance can be expensive and parts hard to find.

Checking Out Missy Elliott’s Spyker C8

Having once owned Paris Hilton’s Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, Bolian is no stranger to cars with a celebrity pedigree. Such is the case with a striking black 2009 Spyker C8 Laviolette he recently acquired from rapper Missy Elliott. Despite the car’s age, it’s only got about 2,500 miles, which goes a long way in explaining this C8’s near-perfect condition.

We learn that the car has barely received servicing, so the Spyker will soon head off for required maintenance. The work will also include adding new tires to replace the 18-year-old rubber currently on the vehicle. But that leads to an obvious question…Why are there 18-year-old tires on a younger car?

A Fondness For The Lamborghini Murcielago

A look at Bolian’s collection reveals a preponderance of Lamborghini Murciélagos, including one with a very unusual modification. To fit his 6′ 5″ frame into a 2010 LP 670SV. Bolian removed the carbon fiber driver’s seat. The unconventional move, remarks Bolian, makes driving more comfortable.

A 2009 LP 640 Roadster is only one of ten built. And while pristine examples may fetch more than $1 million, Bolian’s Lambo is in somewhat of a sad state of affairs. Its reportedly hideous paint is being hidden by a black matte wrap and replacement tires are no longer in production.

Completing his Lambo trio is a 2007 LP 640 Coupe that would also be a seven-figure car if the air conditioning worked and the clutch wasn’t on its last legs. Bolian estimates it will take $25,000 to $30,000 for needed maintenance work.

Not-So-Ordinary Daily Drivers

Parked at the back of the collection is a row of Porsches and Mercedes that come across as mundane in a driveway full of exotics. But every car owner needs a daily driver.

Fulfilling some of these duties is a 2014 Mercedes-Benz GL 63, which Bolian praises for its reliability and functionality. He also calls a pair of tricked-out Porsche Cayennes that are equally well-suited for family hauling responsibilities.
