After a robust third quarter, luxury sports car maker Ferrari once again announced the annual forecasts
raised. Sales should reach around five billion euros in the current year, as the company announced in Maranello on Wednesday. Ferrari only became more optimistic at the beginning of August and dared to spend around 4.9 billion euros, after 4.3 billion euros a year earlier. Adjusted for special effects, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) should be over 1.73 billion euros, previously 1.7 to 1.73 billion euros were targeted.
In the third quarter, deliveries rose by around 16 percent to 3188 vehicles compared to the same period last year. Ferrari sold significantly more, especially in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The Italians also benefited from the weak euro and good business with optional equipment.
Sales grew by almost 19 percent to 1.25 billion euros. The operating result increased by a good 17 percent to 435 million euros. The bottom line is that Ferrari earned 228 million euros, an increase of 10 percent. Ferrari exceeded analysts’ expectations. the share
turned negative again after a short hop.
“With the exception of a few models, our entire range is sold out,” said Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna (53) with a view to a bulging order book. Deliveries of the Ferrari Daytona SP3 and the Purosangue model will start next year. The profitable car company wants to invest more in electric vehicles in the future
