Dear reader,
in the USA the midterms were just around the corner. Since the Democrats performed better than many expected, a nail-biter developed, at least for a majority in the Senate. The final result is still pending.
The elections will certainly also be followed by German car managers. Almost everyone is banking on growth in the USA; and the Republicans are considered to be more protectionist when in doubt, could make it (even) more difficult for foreign manufacturers.
Meanwhile, the Germans do not have to fear imports from the USA. Another country is positioning itself: China. Brands like Nio, Great Wall and BYD are anything but gentle knockers in Germany and Europe. This is also shown by one of our topics of the week:
