Pravaig launches electric SUV Defy at INR 39.5 lakh, deliveries to begin next year

New Delhi: Bengaluru-based automobile startup Pravaig Dynamics on Friday launched its Defy SUV, priced at INR 39.5 lakh (ex-showroom).

The made-in-India SUV comes with a driving range of around 500 km and 402 BHP power. It gets a French Devialet Implosive sound system, a 15.6-inch touchscreen with Pravaig Multi-face UI and Pravaig Connectivity package, that includes Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay along with ultra-fast media streaming, the company said.

The SUV also gets adaptive LED headlamps, 360-degree camera set-up and a 77GHz solid state radar.

The company has positioned the SUV as a premium electric offering, which will compete with the likes of BMW iX, Kia EV6, Mercedes-Benz EQC and the Audi e-tron.

Pravaig has a manufacturing plant in Bengaluru and plans to commence production with a few thousand units and scale up gradually as the demand grows.

The company also showcased Veer, an off-road military version of the SUV.

Under this scheme, the automaker will provide its dealers additional inventory funding over and above their ICE finance limit with pricing linked to Repo Linked Lending Rate (RLLR). The repayment tenure will range from 60 to 75 days, the company said.
