For seven days all are winners. It’s the days after the last new Formula One car is unveiled, to the moment when the pit lights at Bahrain Circuit turn green for the three days of testing before the start of the season. In this period between freestyle and duty, everyone lives with the expectation that their car will perform as the wind tunnel would have them believe. And because nobody knows the numbers of the opponents, everyone moves in a vacuum between hope and fear.
Since the end of January, Formula 1 has been unveiling its new cars, on stage, on the racetrack or in virtual space. As in the previous year, defending champions Red Bull did not reveal their cards. You’ll have to wait until the first day of testing to find out how the Milton Keynes team has made their best-selling product even better. So far, the team has only shown the old car in new colors and presented Ford in New York as the new engine partner from 2026 onwards.
