German Manager Magazin: Daimler fights about money, Volkswagen about the home office: The new newsletter manage:mobility002358

Dear reader,

we have a lot of arguments today. Federal Transport Minister Volker Wissing (52, FDP) is very familiar with this. The announcement of his ministry, the “Deutschlandtakt” of Deutsche Bahn to be postponed from 2030 to 2070, makes you sit up and take notice. With his threatened veto on the EU combustion engine, he has previously triggered a coalition riot.

Even supporters of e-fuels, for which the transport minister wants to campaign, do not understand Wissing. Why it is like that, my colleague Claas Tatje found out in an interview with Jens Gieseke (51), the transport policy spokesman for the CDU/CSU group in the European Parliament.

There are also arguments elsewhere, as our topics of the week show:

Why a bonus triggers a row between the heads of the works councils at Mercedes-Benz and Daimler Truck

How Volkswagen management and employees clashed when it came to working from home

Why is Ola Källenius’ central advisor saying goodbye
