Mercedes BenzBoss Ola Källenius (53) earned better last year than in 2021 thanks to the car manufacturer’s greatly improved earnings situation. Total remuneration rose to 6.58 million euros from 4.28 million euros in the previous year, according to the Dax remuneration report published on Monday -Group emerged.
While the fixed remuneration remained unchanged at a good 1.7 million euros per year, the variable remuneration rose sharply. The dividend plays a role in its calculation, which had skyrocketed to EUR 5.00 per share from EUR 1.35 for the previous financial year. The dividend due this year for the past financial year is expected to climb to EUR 5.20.
The Stuttgart car manufacturer increased its net income by around a third to 14.8 billion euros, which was 34 percent more than in the previous year.
