German Manager Magazin: Volkswagen: Porsche pays employees a bonus of 9050 euros002385

Porsche-Employees benefit from the strong business figures of the sports and off-road vehicle manufacturer with a bonus of up to 9050 euros. The bonus for 2022 is well above the 7900 euros of the previous year, as a spokeswoman announced on Wednesday evening in Stuttgart. The money should be paid out with the April salary to employees at the German locations of Porsche AG and its subsidiaries. This includes Porsche Leipzig GmbH. According to the company, there are around 27,000 employees in total.

The amount of the voluntary special payment follows a certain logic and takes into account the key figures of the past two financial years. This results in a voluntary special payment of up to EUR 9,050 gross for the 2022 financial year.

Porsche had significantly increased sales and earnings in 2022. The amount of the annual special payment is based on the key business figures of the car manufacturer and is traditionally generous at Porsche. For comparison: At the parent company VW, the premium for the past year was 3630 euros.

Board of Directors calls for donations

In connection with the special payment, the Executive Board and Works Council called on Porsche employees to make donations to the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. In autumn, Porsche AG employees received a special payment of up to 3,000 euros for the IPO.

Porsche had earned more last year despite disrupted supply chains. The bottom line is that profits increased by 22.8 percent to just under 5.0 billion euros. The margin climbed from 16 to 18 percent. Sales increased by 13.6 percent to 37.6 billion euros. Porsche thus missed the self-imposed sales target of 38 to 39 billion euros. The number of cars delivered rose slightly by 2.6 percent to almost 310,000 in 2022 compared to 2021.
