Although the EU is working on raising the weight limit for driving license category B for cars from 3.5 to 4.25 tons, the time has come. This becomes a problem for camper van owners who obtained their driver’s license after 1999 when the demands on the camper van become greater and greater.

More than 3.5 tons permissible total weight are not allowed with the car license, up to 1999 it was at least 7.5 tons. So the only thing that helps is modesty or the expensive C1 driver’s license, which in turn can be used to move 7.5 tons. Many also do the C license right away to be on the safe side if the demands continue to grow. More than 3.5 tons are quickly a must if four people want to travel comfortably.
