Perhaps zoologists have no answer as to how the Easter Bunny got the egg. The animal experts at the Opel Zoo in Kronberg show and explain real rabbits and all sorts of eggs from different animals that give birth to their offspring in this way. Another animal is also presented during a guided tour during the Easter holidays, namely the Easter lamb. The guided tour with explanations starts on Tuesday at 11 a.m., meeting point is the statue of the zoo founder at the main entrance. Further dates for holiday tours are the next two Tuesdays, again at 11 a.m. A guided tour on Thursday, April 13th, will present animal records, while another on Thursday, April 20th will focus on large animals.
On Wednesday, the zoo school is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., where information about various animal species is given. On Easter Sunday and Easter Monday there is a special Easter surprise between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. In a special exhibition, visitors learn everything about the egg. Under supervision, children can make Easter baskets and bookmarks. A film shows a chick hatching.
