Hollywood stars and pools to splash about: In Miami, Formula 1 wants to capture the city’s attitude to life and drive expansion – in order to remain attractive, not just for the fans.
The phenomenon called Miami Twice says: you can visit this city twice in a row, but it will never be the same again. Formula 1 is putting the proverb to the test, for the second time it is making a guest appearance in the parking lots around the Miami Dolphins football stadium, somewhat pompously christened the Miami International Autodrome.
The magic of the premiere has now disappeared, now the suitability test begins. Not just for the race itself, which will take place this Sunday (9:30 p.m., in the F.A.Z. live ticker for Formula 1 and on Sky), but for the plans for Formula 1 in the USA in general.
