Dear reader,
Wolfgang Porsche celebrated his 80th birthday on Wednesday. For the anniversary there was cake at the VW general meeting. Not exactly served politely, though. A VW opponent threw the cake in Porsche’s direction.
However, he stayed hungry. The cake slapped the podium in front of him.
Climate activists had previously blocked access to the event in Berlin. The speech by Volkswagen boss Oliver Blume (54) was interrupted several times; a woman screamed out her anger at Volkswagen’s plant in China’s Xinjiang province.
After all, the Volkswagen leadership, unlike others, did not flee to the virtual general meeting on the Internet. The investor criticism almost became a side note with all the excitement anyway.
