The boy now drives himself. Despite all the joy in the innovation, his eyes keep falling back to those twilight hours and actually to where less is more. He would love to have an SL from that era, the open-top version that blows the wind through your hair, although there has never been any consensus as to whether the roadster or the coupé had the more sweeping lines. Maybe it’s just time to build a double garage.
