Dear reader,
After a few low blows, VW once again recorded a small success this week. In the home market of Germany, the brand moved again in new e-car registrations past Tesla. 41,475 Stromers have been sold so far this year, which means a lead of exactly 1186.
But elsewhere the next rebellious ones are already showing their strength: In Sweden In July, BYD presented the most-registered e-car for the first time with the Atto 3.
In Germany, BYD’s progress is still modest: but with 404 new registrations last month, the brand was in three figures for the first time.
Our topics of the week are also about China:

Why it takes more than lavish purchase incentives for a sustained cargo bike boom
Why Heycar is slipping deeper and deeper into the crisis
