Profit distributions are not only available in April and May like in Germany, but all year round. A German website helps with stock selection and analysis.

If you want to live off your dividends, Realty Income Corp could be interesting. The American real estate company always distributes profits to its investors in the middle of the month. That’s currently a good 25 cents per share – and the trend has been rising for years. If you want to make a living from it, you need 10,000 shares if $2,500 gross per month is enough for you. With 20,000 shares you get a gross monthly dividend of $5,000 and with 40,000 shares you get a comfortable $10,000. The catch is that a share currently costs the equivalent of a good 50 euros. To achieve a comfortable income, two million euros would have to be spent on buying shares.
