Targa study from BMWBMW presented the Concept Skytop design study at the traditional automobile beauty competition in the Villa d’Este on Lake Como. The open two-seater in Z8 format combines elegant body lines with a targa roof and a luxurious interior. Special features are the arrow-shaped front with a small, horizontally oriented kidney grille, flanked by very flat headlights, the fixed fin-shaped B-pillar and the short rear. There is space in this for two roof shells covered with leather, which turn the convertible into a coupé. The interior features Budapest-style leather applications as well as crystal applications embedded in the cockpit. A V8 engine works under the long hood, which BWM describes as currently the most powerful in the portfolio. Accordingly, it would have to be the 460 kW/625 hp 4.4-liter biturbo from the M8 Competition.
