Celebrations are allowed in the multi-brand group Stellantis. In a month, Fiat will be 125. Last weekend, 125 years of Opel automobiles were celebrated with an open day in Rüsselsheim. In the best weather, more than 5,000 visitors came, who, among other things, were able to take a look into the otherwise strictly closed design studio. Chancellor Scholz paid his respects and gave a short speech after Hesse’s Prime Minister Boris Rhein and the CEO of Stellantis, Carlos Tavares. He spoke of a success story and a great achievement by all Opel employees who are now on the way to electromobility. For him, this is the way into the future; anyone who wants to turn the wheel back would endanger our prosperity. The motto of the celebration, “Forever Forward,” should be taken literally. “Automotive production in Germany is not a discontinued model,” Scholz encouraged.
