Charging tariffs in the testMercedes has the best e-car charging service among the major car manufacturers. According to a test by the magazine “Auto Bild”, the ADAC tariff is in the lead among the independent providers, although it expires at the end of August. The most widespread app-based charging services with a roaming offer were tested, the services that only apply to the company’s own pillars Tesla and Ionity were therefore eliminated. The evaluation took into account, among other things, the size of the network, electricity prices and the functionality of the app. Among the car manufacturer services, Mercedes’ “Me Charge L” service was price-performance winner and overall winner with a “very good” rating. The offers from BMW (“Charging Active Ionity Plus”) and Audi (“E-Tron Charging Service Pro”) received the same grade. VW We Charge Plus, Porsche Charging Service and Hyundai Smart scored “good”. However, the tariffs are only available to customers of the respective brands. However, the independent providers can be used by all e-car drivers. In addition to the ADAC test winner, the offers from EnBW (“Mobility+ Ladetarif M”), Shell (“Recharge”), Elli (“Drive Highway”) and Logpay (“Charge&Fuel Pro”) received a “very good” rating in this category. There was a “good” rating for the EWE “Go” service, which was also the cheapest offer in the field. Only frequent travelers charge cheaper with the EnBW tariff.
