According to the Federal Ministry of Economics, there is a record in the bids for tenders for new onshore wind turbines. “Thanks to the good and ever-improving approval situation, an increasing number of projects are now taking part in the tenders – the current tender of 2.7 GW has been exceeded,” said Federal Economics Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) to the German Press Agency in Berlin. GW stands for gigawatt. The Federal Network Agency is expected to announce in a few weeks which bidders will receive contracts.
