Porsche 911 Speedster With a Speedster variant of the fourth generation of the 911, Porsche is now closing a gap in the model range. A car collector has now had the puristic two-seat convertible based on the 993 built as a one-off by the sports car manufacturer’s special requests department. The Porsche experts worked on the unique piece for more than three years, looking at archive material, developing designs and finally manufacturing and assembling parts. The client, collector Luca Trazzi, was integrated into the process. The result is a yellow-painted two-seater with the typical rear cover, shortened windshield and – as a nod to modernity – the four-point daytime running lights typical of the brand. The interior is lined in black leather with yellow decorative stitching, and there is a modern infotainment system in the cockpit. The collector’s item adopts the engine, chassis, steering and brakes from the 911 Carrera RS of the 993 series. The 3.8-liter six-cylinder boxer has 221 kW/300 hp.
