In another time, years before the pandemic, tourism experts in Taunus dreamed a crazy dream. They thought that the low mountain range near Frankfurt could be a destination for travelers from distant areas, even distant countries. Not for business people, but for vacationers. The Taunus tourism experts, as they call themselves, placed advertisements in the deep south and the highest north of Germany, in England and even in China. The dream is over. The Corona period has changed tourism in Hesse and especially in the Taunus. Which doesn’t mean that the experts think more modestly. They just think differently.
