The next stage of China’s car expansion into Europe will be launched in a factory site a good 600 kilometers east of Berlin. The European car company Stellantis operates a large factory in the Polish industrial city of Tychy. The first pre-production examples of a very special small car were assembled here this summer: The Leapmotor T03 is the first Chinese electric car to be manufactured in a factory in Europe. A milestone for the internationalization of China’s emerging auto industry – and it was only made possible through the active support of the European manufacturer Stellantis, which has allied itself with the Chinese.
