German FAZ: China’s frustration on Germany’s car market007650

The declining interest in electric cars and home-made problems are causing disappointment and a lot of turbulence for Chinese car companies on the German market. They have now also reached the car manufacturer Polestar, which belongs to the Chinese Geely Group. The previous boss Thomas Ingenlath, who has led Polestar since it was founded as an independent car company, is giving up. His successor from October will be 55-year-old Michael Lohscheller, who restructured Opel in the position of CEO from 2017 to 2021, then had short terms in office as head of the Vietnamese car manufacturer Vingroup, the American truck manufacturer Nikola and, since June, as President of the Association of Car Importers in Germany.
