German FAZ: Short-time work at Opel partner Segula007679

According to F.A.Z. information, the company initially applied for short-time work for around 60 employees for three months, which corresponds to around a tenth of the workforce in Rüsselsheim. However, management said that in some cases the issue had already been resolved because new orders had come in. Segula Technologies, headquartered in France, took over the Opel test center and parts of the development center in Rüsselsheim in 2019. The company is also present at other German automotive locations and employs around 1,000 people nationwide. In March, the German company announced that it wanted to create around 200 more jobs. Several positions are advertised on the company’s website. According to the company, six trainees started in Rüsselsheim last week, the first since taking over the location in 2019. Segula also wants to invest a double-digit million amount in the engine testing facilities in Rüsselsheim.
