A week ago we asked the question on this site whether riding a motorcycle with an automatic transmission is even fun. Yamaha has a corresponding model at the start, as does BMW. Technically speaking, these are automated manual transmissions with the option of automatic gear changing. Our conclusion was that automatic systems with intervention options were the future.
