MG has so far had the largest share of registrations of all Chinese brands in Germany and is now taking on the popular compact class SUV segment with the new MG HS. The design is pleasing, but somehow faceless; the lavishly equipped, 4.67 meter long soft off-road vehicle is currently going on sale at prices starting at 27,990 euros. This makes it almost 10,000 euros cheaper than the VW Tiguan, which dominates this class. The SAIC subsidiary still lacks recognition, there is no established dealer network, and there are big question marks surrounding the resale value.
