German FAZ: Now the FDP invites you to the counter-economic summit008029

The FDP is heading in the opposite direction to its coalition partners in the Chancellery and the Ministry of Economics. Finance Minister Christian Lindner (FDP) and FDP parliamentary group leader Christian Dürr have invited top representatives of German business to exchange views. The meeting is scheduled to take place next Tuesday morning in the Reichstag building – shortly before Chancellor Olaf Scholz invites you to the industrial summit. “The persistent weak growth of the German economy requires decisive and quick action, especially from the coalition and the federal government,” says the F.A.Z. present invitation letter. The two FDP politicians make no secret of the fact that they consider the head of government’s approach to be inadequate. They continue: “From our point of view, this requires discussion with the German economy as a whole and not just with representatives of individual industrial sectors.”
