German FAZ: What is the situation with Google right now, Mr. Justus?008056

Things are going very well for Google in Germany. We were pleased to have had our CEO Sundar Pichai visit us twice in the past 18 months. He was here last year when we announced our support for the women’s national football team. Pichai is a big football fan, so of course he was in Berlin. And this spring he was in Germany again, in Munich. You may see from this that Germany remains important to us. As a reminder: Germany has been an important country for Google for more than 20 years; the first office in Europe and the second outside the United States were built here. We now have more than two and a half thousand employees in this country, for example in our Google Safety Engineering Center in Munich, where we develop tools for data protection and security that are used all over the world.
