The German stock index Dax has surpassed the third thousand in a year: After 18,000 points in March and 19,000 points in September, it reached more than 20,000 points for the first time on Tuesday morning. Like the entire stock market upswing, Tuesday’s trading day was not characterized by euphoria. Progress is being made in small steps; the increase at midday was less than 0.5 percent. Even among the daily winners, no value stood out; all titles were between plus and minus two percent.
