A private bank now resides where it all began, in the city center. In the elegant Palazzo Bricherasio you can walk on the red carpet and marble floor past battle paintings and ancestral portraits to the “Saal Fiat”. In 1899, the “Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino” (Fiat), the “Italian car factory in Turin”, was founded in the grand building. A painting shows the signing of the contract with several noble investors in the center. The entrepreneur Giovanni Agnelli can be found in the background. He would soon gain control of the company that had been the pride of the Piedmont capital for more than 100 years.
