German FAZ: Magic in front of the window008494

It’s the display that counts: the first glance into the vehicle seems to reflect the power of the infotainment. The upper class has the largest on-board monitors, some across the entire width of the vehicle. The bigger the better, you think. Only the driver sees a head-up display; the display appears to float in front of the hood, so distraction is minimal. Now you can get used to another display technology in the car, a mixture of monitor and head-up display, which its inventor calls Panoramic Vision. BMW is initially bringing the technology into the eagerly awaited “New Class” and, together with the BMW Operating System in version X (ten), it will move into all new BMW models from the end of the year.
