It is a conference that attracts many fund managers and stock market professionals to New York every year. The German financial institutions Commerzbank and Oddo BHF regularly bring American lenders and German companies together there. The “German Investment Seminar” has a tradition of almost three decades, at which the “Who’s Who” of German business takes part, as participants rave. Arno Antlitz, CFO of the Volkswagen Group, was also there this week – and defended the compromise that VW had made with IG Metall before Christmas in front of the assembled American stock exchange elite.
